Montreal

Actions: What You Can Do With the City, installation view at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal ©CCA. Photo Michel Legendre

March 20:
Matt and I drove to Montreal to check out the Actions show at the CCA. SuperNeutral, a project I did with John Snavely and Shirley Shen in 2007, was included in the show as Action #6: Carbon Credits Build Micro-Projects. For more info on the exhibition click here.

Trip Highlights:
hiking in the Negev; climbing Masada; floating in the Dead Sea, dancing at a Purim party in Tel Aviv; meeting Gilad Shelit's parents at a protest; road-tripping to Eilat; bouldering in Timna; seeing the cliffs at Shefayim; eating ice cream in Jerusalem; and meeting some incredible people.

The trip was awesome; in fact, it was so awesome that the first thing I did when I came home was have coffee with my friend Christie, a Master's student in Middle Eastern relations at Tufts who spent last summer living in Bethlehem. I just felt like I needed to be reminded of the...other realities of life in the Holy Land.
