On a much lighter note, Kirstenbosch is Cape Town's incredibly beautiful botanical gardens, dating back to the early 20th century.
The District Six Museum
tells the story of District Six, an area near downtown Cape Town from which 60,000 "Colored" inhabitants were forcibly removed on accord of Apartheid legislation such as the Group Areas Act of 1950.
